MOBILE, AL (WALA) - Good news is coming for downtown Mobile ; a major eyesore will soon be renovated into an apartment building .  It's the old City Hall North building on Saint Joseph Street , which was previously known as the Seamen's Club, a hotel for folks in the maritime industry as they stopped in the Port City for business.  The announcement to renovate the building was made Tuesday morning at the Mobile City Council meeting .  The project's going to be a big undertaking for the developer, since the building hasn't been occupied for some 30 years.  "The interior is hazardous, currently it's full of asbestos and mold and lead, so environmental remediation is going to be the first phase of this project," explained Stephen McNair , an historic preservation consultant associated with the project.  Once it's all said and done, the property will accommodate 70 apartment units , a dog park, coffee shop, and rooftop amenities.  McNair said the buildi...
