Florida freshmen James Robinson, Ventrell Miller cited for marijuana possession
Florida wide receiver James Robinson and linebacker Ventrell Miller , both freshmen, reportedly were cited for marijuana possession inside their on-campus apartment this week. As was first reported by Jacksonville’s First Coast News, citing a University Police Department report , a resident assistant was walking outside of the Keys residential complex on campus around 12:30 a.m. Monday and smelled a “strong odor of burnt cannabis emanating in the air” and then called University Police . Once police entered the room, in which both Robinson and Miller were identified, “officers found a cloud of smoke and a styrofoam cup that police say appeared to be used as an ash tray,” First Coast News reported . “Coach Mac [Jim McElwain] is aware [of the situation] and it has been dealt with,” a Florida spokesperson said Thursday through a text message.
