Eater Boston got a tip about signage going up at the under- construction Tremont apartment complex (1480 Tremont St.), and Chilcates owner Socrates Abreu confirmed he’s currently working with architects and planners to design the forthcoming restaurant. While his original location near Stony Brook was joined by a second outpost on the well- traveled Centre Street this past winter, the Mission Hill location will be Chilacates’ first location built from the floor up. That will take about four to six months, Abreu estimates . He has been looking for more locations for a year, he told Eater, and found the Tremont spot to have “the same vibe” as the original Armory Street Chilacates . T...

Beth Rankin For Tim McEneny, principal at Dallas restaurant group NL Group , the closing of Cedar Springs bar and brunch spot Cedar Grove wasn 't as abrupt as it seemed. "Cedar Grove was just exhausting, and it was just bleeding cash," McEneny said in a Tuesday afternoon phone interview with the Dallas Observer . After opening in June 2016, the restaurant closed this week following what McEneny said was a bustling Sunday drag brunch . NL Group has operated concepts in Cedar Grove's space — at the base of the Ilume Apartments at  4123 Cedar Springs Road — for nine years, first as Dish Cedar Springs and then as Cedar Grove. That location was often a struggle, McEneny says. After closing Dish and relocating it to Preston Hollow in early 2016, N...

‘Heroin Truly Takes Over their Lives’

They don’t know how dangerous it is — and they’re dropping like flies.” — Lt. Jimmy Cox, Fairfax County “ Eighty percent of overdoses occur between midnight and 4 a.m.,” he said. “And I usually get five calls a day.” — Lt. Saxony Apartment Building

Quizzes Lists Topics Save The Saxony Apartment Building is a historic apartment building in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. Located along Ninth Street in the city's downtown, [1] this five- story brick building includes a distinctive range of architectural details. Among these elements are brick pilasters and projections, a three- story bay window on each side of the symmetrical main facade , semicircular balconies , and many stone pieces, such as pediments, keystones, and stringcourses. Due to its location at the intersection of Ninth and Race Streets, the Saxony appears to have two fronts: one onto each street. Although the Ninth Street facade is larger and more complex, the Race Street facade is nevertheless ornate as well: it features small yet elaborate semicircular balconies with wrought iron railings similar to those of the Ninth Street facade . [2] Constructed in 1891 according to a design by leading Cincinnati architect Samuel Hannaford , [1] the Saxony Apart...
