The 180,000-square- foot Stone River Retirement Resort will offer 128 independent - living apartments for adults 55 and older at Tara when it opens in early winter. Resort Lifestyle Communities , based in Lincoln, Neb., submitted plans for the $ 30 million luxury development to Manatee County government in early 2015. The project was fast-tracked because of the size of the investment and the number of jobs that would be created. The company is planning a job fair about 60 days prior to opening and would hire 35 to 45 full- and part-time employees, Kelly Jo Hinrichs , marketing and pre- open sales director , said this week. “We are working with the fire marshal and permitting. We are hoping for an early winter opening ,” Hinrichs said.
