Two critical after north side apartment shooting

INDIANAPOLIS - Three people were shot, one fatally, within the span of an hour in two unrelated shootings Sunday night.

IMPD dispatchers confirmed a double shooting occurred around 10 p.m. on the 1600 block of Centurion Circle at the Fountainhead Apartments.

Dispatchers said two victims were taken to St. Vincent Hospital in critical condition. 

One of those victims, 25-year-old Ian Lin Buschmann of Indianapolis, later died.

The nature of the shooting was not yet known, but police said a person of interest was detained at the scene.

An unrelated shooting was also reported around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Minnesota Street and State Avenue on the southeast side.

The victim in that shooting was reportedly stable.
