Deadly shooting at Highland Square Apartments in Jackson - MSNewsNow.com

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Police are investigating a deadly shooting in west Jackson.

It happened in the 1500 block of West Highland Drive at the Highland Square Apartments.

Jackson police tell WLBT News the victim is an unidentified black male.

"It was outside the apartments actually," said Officer Colendula Green. "It was a verbal and physical altercation, according to witnesses, which led the victim being shot multiple times."

The other individual in the fight was taken into custody.

No word on what charges he faces right now.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved.
