Police asking for help in identifying car in Tolland accident

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Police have arrested a man they say was known around the town of Wallingford as a heroin supplier.

At approximately 9:00 a.m. today, Wallingford Police took Harvey Jennings into custody after receiving information that he would be arriving at Southwind Apartments at 181 Southwind Drive with the intent to sell heroin. Detectives witnessed Jennings arrive at the apartment complex and meet up with a potential buyer. As the transaction was taking place, detectives approached Jennings and made an arrest. A bag containing one hundred forty bags of heroin and ten xanax pills was found on Jennings, along with approximately six hundred dollars in cash. An additional eighty bags of heroin were found in his vehicle.

Jennings, a 25-year-old of Wallingford, was charged with sale of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics, and possession of a controlled substance. He is currently being detained on a $50,000 bond and will be arraigned at Meriden Superior Court on Nov. 2, 2016.
