Bullets fly, hit apartment and vehicles in Vista
Bullets tore into a Vista apartment and several vehicles in a parking lot early Tuesday, but apparently didn’t hit anyone.
The shooter got away from the Pepperwood Apartments at the west end of University Drive, west of Sycamore Avenue.
Many people called 911 shortly before 2 a.m. when they heard the shots. One upstairs apartment and several vehicles were hit by rounds, sheriff’s Sgt. William Munsch said.
He said there had been an altercation between residents in that apartment and at least one other person. Everyone was gone when deputies got there.
The parking lot was cordoned off through the rest of the early-morning hours. Deputies found several shell casings in the parking lot.
