I am in desperate need of a rental apartment or home in HAttiesburg, MS. Pleae help. Thanks

Hattiesburg has several property management companies that have homes and apartments in all price ranges. As far as single famliy homes I would first contact London and Stetelman or Shirley at Shoemaker properties... Not everyone has a perfect credit score but not all the property managers run a credit report. If you can show you have income and that the rent doesn't exceed 25 or 30% of your gross, you can most likey find a landlord willing to give it a go. Vacany rates are at an all time high in Hattiesburg right now and good tenants are hard to find. You most likely will need to provide proof that you paid your mortgage on time when you were married... and if you get child support you will need to prove that for it to be counted toward your income. Other property management companies are Best Realty... Msiti @ Re.Max manages rental property and Associated Appraisers owns a lot of rental property. Same for Southgate Realty. You should be able to Google any of these for their contact info. As far as Section 8, their office in on Hwy 49 South just past Hwy 98... and that process may not be as long as you think. If you qualify for a Section 8 voucher they can give you a list of approved landlords and property managers.
