Woman Carjacked at Gunpoint in Enso Apartments Parking Garage

Atlanta police say a woman was carjacked Aug. 28 in the parking garage of the Enso apartment complex at 880 Glenwood Ave. in Grant Park.

The victim, 30, told police she was on the fourth floor of the parking garage just before 3:40 p.m. when a black Volkswagen Jetta suddenly pulled up alongside her.

Two men, one of whom brandished a silver handgun, demanded her purse and car keys.

Both men wore dark-colored bandannas around their faces.

After giving them her purse and keys, one jumped into her vehicle, a 2011, black Jeep Cherokee with the license plate No. AZS-1229. The other took off in the Volkswagen, which had been reported stolen in a seperate carjacking incident, police said. While leaving the garage, the Volkswagen hit a yellow pole, damaging the vehicle's passanger side, police said. Enso management did not immediately respond to a request seeking comment.
