The cats were discovered by an exterminator on June 22 in an empty unit at Patriot Pointe Apartments , located in the 100 block of Coral Gables Court . Apartment manager Terri Dray said they were left in an apartment that didn’t have electricity for air conditioning, according to documents filed in Virginia Beach Circuit Court . Virginia Beach Animal Control sealed the apartment and left a 24-hour notice for the cats’ owners. After a day passed, officials came back to the apartment and noticed that all of the seals were intact, meaning no one had entered the apartment.
